Nolan Thomas (feat. The Vid Kids)- Yo Little Brother So much to say… this is the first work of Bob Teeman and Stu Sleppin, who went on to become sleaze-bucket impresarios using the “Vid Kids”— kid rock star impersonators, of which there are four in this video— to sell “info-tainment” packages where the “info” was ad campaign messages and the “tainment” was invented pop stars and “vid kids.” This video could be considered Teeman/Sleppin’s “dark period”, as it includes more references to 10 year old’s doing drugs and propositioning women than any of their later crappola.
Beyond that, Nolan has an almost Rebecca Black lack of charisma, from the pigeon-toed entrance to his constant upstaging by the unnervingly made up mini-billy idol. Other Black parallels include a production team exploiting young people, though these are definitely more talented ones.
